Talk / Workshop

The festival will host some well-known figures, including Ale Zeni, considered one of the best slab climbers in the world, who will take us on an exciting journey to ascend some of the toughest slab routes in the world, including Cryptography, one of the world's first 9b of this climbing style.

Another special guest will be Klaas Willems, a passionate Belgian climber living with cystic fibrosis who found in Ulassai and its climbing routes the oxygen for his lungs. Through his words, he will open the doors to his mind, revealing the motivations that, despite everything, have driven him to never give up and surpass the limits we often impose on ourselves.

Cineforum

During the two festival nights, a big screen will light up Barigau Square, showcasing documentaries about climbing, setting the perfect vibe for the festival.

On the evening of May 31st, prepare to be captivated as Alessandro Zeni presents his film "Eternit": a tale of triumph on the Baule cliff, a seemingly impassable wall that became the ultimate challenge and dream for this daring Trentino climber. Through his vivid storytelling, we'll experience the highs, lows, and sheer determination of this extraordinary ascent.

Then, on June 1st, join us for an unforgettable screening of "STILL ALIVE" at the BANFF Mountain Festival. Featuring the inspiring Klaas Willems, a true icon of Ulassai climbing, this film reveals how climbing transcends mere adventure—it becomes a profound expression of life itself. Plus, enjoy a series of short films where climbing serves as a powerful conduit for social messages and a deep connection to our local terrain.

Two must-attend nights to dive deep into the adventure and passion of the vertical world, and get lost in stories that truly resonate.

Can you imagine a festival without music? It would be like a sky without stars. After the screening of the film "Still Alive" on the evening of June 1st, Piazza Barigau will turn into an open-air disco, a place where lights dance with shadows and sounds fill the air. The party will kick off and continue into the late night, featuring a selection of electronic, techno, and underground music that will resonate with the souls of those present.

Furthermore, the participation of Climbing Radio will add a special touch, infusing the festival days with its contagious energy and accompanying us throughout the various activities, creating an unforgettable and engaging atmosphere.
